| This year marks the twenty- seventh anniversary of the establishment of Northwood Neighbourhood Services. During that period we have tried to improve the well- being of the community through the provision of programs and services. | ||||
|
I am pleased to say that over the years we have continued to discharge that role. This was made possible through the steadfast performance of the management, staff and volunteers of the organization. Our funders are elated with the effectiveness and financial stability of our programs and services. Northwood Neighbourhood Services’ most recent strategic planning session was attended by members of the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and participants. We affirmed that our vision and mission remained the same. |

For the last 27 years we have continued to respond to community by providing much needed programs and services. The Board of Directors had busy years in developing policies and procedures that are inclusive, non-biased, equitable, and address emerging community issues. Our Board Committees, with the help of our dedicated Committee Chairs, continued to work tirelessly in bringing community issues to Board of Directors meetings. These committees are Program and Development Committee, Finance Committee, Fundraising Committee and Personnel Committees. Our ad-hoc Nominating Committee worked tirelessly to bring members to the Board who are experienced, skilled in various fields and representative of the various ethnic groups we serve. It has been a pleasure for me to serve alongside my fellow staff members who have dedicated their time and energy to chart the course of the organization. Long live Northwood Neighbourhood Services. Long live the dedicated staff team, who work beyond the call of duty. Long live all the members who have served on our Board of Directors for countless hours, providing expertise and wisdom to run Northwood Neighbourhood Services. Long live the countless volunteers who have served in the various programs and services for the last 27 years. Long live all the funders who have funded Northwood Neighbourhood Services for the last 27 years.
